Service
Road Balance is a trucking recordkeeping and income-tracking application designed to organize loads, mileage, expenses, receipts, statements and related work and financial information.
No professional advice
Road Balance is a bookkeeping and tracking tool. It does not provide accounting advice, tax advice, legal advice, financial advice, or investment advice.
AI-assisted processing
AI-assisted document processing reduces manual entry. Extracted information may be incomplete or inaccurate. Users are responsible for reviewing information before relying on it or saving it as final.
Errors and omissions
Automated recognition, imported data, calculations, summaries, categories, mileage, Statements, Receipts, and other processed or generated information may contain errors or omissions.
Your responsibility to verify
Users are responsible for reviewing and verifying information before relying on it for accounting, taxes, payments, financial reporting, business decisions, or submissions to accountants, tax professionals, government agencies, or other third parties.
Calculations
Metrics are calculated from information available in your account and application rules. Results depend on the completeness and accuracy of underlying data.
Tax Summary
Road Balance provides recordkeeping, calculations and organizational tools. Tax Summary helps organize information and is not a substitute for individualized tax, accounting or legal advice.
Your records
You retain ownership of records and content you add. You grant MD Key LLC only the rights necessary to host, process, analyze, display and export that content to provide Road Balance.
Account security and acceptable use
Protect your account access. Do not attempt to access another user's data, bypass security, interfere with the service or use it unlawfully.
Subscriptions
Free download and the internal Pro trial
Road Balance is free to download. A new verified user receives a 30-day internal Road Balance Pro trial through Road Balance's entitlement system. No App Store subscription or purchase is required to start this trial. There is currently no Apple introductory offer or Apple free trial; the internal Road Balance trial is the only free trial.
The internal trial does not automatically convert into a paid subscription, and its expiration alone does not cause a charge. Paid billing begins only when you affirmatively choose and confirm a Monthly or Annual subscription in the App Store purchase flow.
Free access and Pro features
After the internal trial or verified Pro entitlement ends, Free access remains available, including Loads. Saved historical data is not deleted merely because Pro access ends. Existing records remain viewable where supported; Pro-only creation, editing and other actions require eligible Pro access under the app's feature rules. Data remains subject to our existing retention and account-deletion practices described in the Privacy Policy.
Pro includes Expenses, Receipt Recognition, Settlement Statement Recognition, Historical Import, Work & Pay Pro functionality, and Tax/data export functionality, as implemented in the app.
AI recognition is limited to up to 30 receipts and 5 settlement statements per applicable allowance period. The internal trial has its own allowance period; paid Monthly and Annual plans use monthly allowance periods, including monthly resets within an Annual subscription. These are not unlimited services. There is no automatic overage billing when an allowance is exhausted.
Plans, prices and Apple billing
Road Balance Pro Monthly and Annual are auto-renewing App Store subscriptions. Current US launch prices are $14.99 USD per month for Monthly and $149.99 USD per year for Annual. The applicable price displayed by the App Store at purchase or renewal controls, including applicable taxes, currency and localized pricing where relevant. These prices are not a promise of permanent pricing.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the subscription purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Apple charges renewals under its applicable subscription terms and the applicable price displayed by the App Store. Apple processes App Store billing; Road Balance does not directly control those charges.
Cancellation, expiration and restoring purchases
Manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple Account's subscription settings on your device or in the App Store. See Apple's cancellation instructions and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Cancelling auto-renewal normally leaves access available through the already-paid subscription period, unless Apple records an earlier revocation, refund or other applicable store event. After verified Pro entitlement expires, your account returns to the available Free experience.
Restore Purchases is available for eligible App Store subscriptions, subject to Apple's purchase ownership rules and Road Balance's account-binding verification. Restoration does not transfer a subscription to an unrelated Road Balance account.
Deleting your Road Balance account does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription. Manage or cancel the Apple subscription through Apple before or independently of deleting your Road Balance account. Cancelling a subscription does not itself delete your Road Balance account or records.
Account deletion
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MD Key LLC is not liable for losses arising from inaccurate, incomplete, misrecognized, imported, calculated, or unverified data or from reliance on such information. This limitation does not exclude or restrict any liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
